Shylhet Agricultural University is a dream university based in agro located in natural rural environment in Shylhet city of Bangladesh. Shylhet is a well known and reputed city among all the cities of Bangladesh for an important Islamic background, with the memories of Hazrat  Shah Jalal and Shah Poran. Officially this university was began to walk on 02 November, 2006 which was passed in national parliament in this year. The mission of this university is to make the betterment of the graduates whose play an important role in rural agriculture specially with farmers. Bangladesh is a country partially or fully based on agriculture and the farmers are the backbone of rural agriculture. This agro based varsity have some vision, students will know about different aspects of agriculture science for socio-economic development. Though it contains numerous limitations such as sufficient teachers, staff and officers also accommodation, the students who admits in this varsity great deal with a great challenge for learning and doing in this versatile agro based university, expected by the honorable Vice-Chancellor. The academic situation of this university is currently 1200 undergraduate students and 50 internship students are continuing their study. The students will get chance to have post graduation degree from this university to their relevant field.
